Canyon Rain

It's been a crazy few weeks so really needed some time out for fun with my art. As I always say, it's the techniques I love playing with. This one, though, I really enjoyed. I love the colors, too. Hope you enjoy it.

Water is my element plus I've always loved watching fish swim. This is a painting I've wanted to do for quite some time. Currently I seem to be in a technique experimenting mood. For me, that's the most fun part of my art. Overall, I think I'm pretty pleased with how this painting turned out although I'm not sure the photo shows this painting at its best.

About Me

My original love was the performing arts. I grew up dancing, and it was my dream to be a professional ballet dancer. That was not to be so I turned to other forms of creativity. It's only been within the past few years that I discovered painting. I'd forgotten how much I loved drawing as a child. Maybe this is a passion re-awakened! I'm a self-taught artist and always looking to learn new techniques. One of the things I've always classified myself as is a "perpetual student". I love learning, and I love experimenting with new techniques. For me, this is one of the best parts of art; experiencing new things is more important to me than the finished piece. So you never know what I'll end up with. Hope you'll enjoy the experience too!
