This is the last of the planned small painting project....except that I've now started just one more! I've not really tried painting animals or faces before so this was a definite challenge for me. I'm pretty pleased with the final result. Thanks for looking.

This was based on the Broken Pots composition teaching by Jerry Yarnell. I chose to do the sky more moody and didn't make my pots broken. I love the purple and blue-green combo in the sky. While I need some more practice on making grass thinner, the bold look suits this painting. Overall, I'm pretty well pleased with the Outcome.

5 x 7 oil. This is #5 of 7 in the small paintings project I'm working on. I'm please with how the coffee cup turned out & think I managed to pick up highlights and shadows. The steam may need to be re-worked at some point. I re-worked it several times already and am still not sure I like it. For now, though, I'm letting it stay as is.

Abstracts are my favorites. I love the ways the colors in the sky on this one turned out.
It's been almost a month since I've had a chance to paint. It's wonderful to be back to it!
